URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTEDSevere Thunderstorm Watch Number 199NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK330 PM CDT Fri Jun 22 2018The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of   Extreme northeastern New Mexico  The Oklahoma Panhandle  Much of the Texas Panhandle* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 330 PM until  1000 PM CDT.* Primary threats include...  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75    mph likely  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events    to 2.5 inches in diameter possible  A tornado or two possibleSUMMARY...Thunderstorms are developing across northeastern NewMexico, and some of these storms should intensify while movingeast-southeastward toward the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles.  Thestorm environment will initially favor supercells with the potentialfor very large hail.  Some upscale growth of storms is expected,from either the initial New Mexico storms or new storms expected toform in southeastern Colorado, and the convection should spreadeast-southeastward as a larger cluster through late evening. Damaging winds will become the main threat by this evening, while anisolated tornado could occur with the initial supercells or laterstorm interactions.The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 100statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles northwest ofGuymon OK to 30 miles southwest of Borger TX. Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75    mph likely  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5    inches in diameter likely  A tornado or two possibleSUMMARY...Thunderstorms are developing in a broken line from thecentral Colorado Front Range into northeastern Colorado.  Thesestorms should intensify and increase in coverage through theafternoon, while spreading east-southeastward toward western Kansaslater this afternoon/evening.  The initial more discrete/supercellstorms will be capable of producing very large hail, while growth ofthe storms into a larger line will favor damaging winds and the moresubstantial severe threat into this evening.  An isolated tornadocannot be ruled out with more isolated storms that form acrosssoutheastern Colorado ahead of the line.The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 90statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles north northwestof Burlington CO to 20 miles south southeast of Springfield CO.
